Safety standards are fine?

They inspect chickens for salmonella. Visually. As they move quickly along a conveyor belt.

I have about as much confidence in that as I do in turning the whole operation over to Stevie Wonder.

Speaking for yourself, I hope. Yes, pork needs to cooked beyond redness.

But by ''thoroughly'' you probably mean cooked until the juices are gone and it resembles brown leather. Any well-marbled, good cut of steak that is cooked beyond ''bleu'' should go straight in the dog's dish. Although I would first cut off the delicious charred fat and keep that for myself.

I don't speak only for myself, those who disagree have messed up taste

what I meant is that meat should always be "Well done", anything less than that needs more cooking, no need to worry about E.Coli or anything else as long as you cook what you eat well.

if only factor is safety, yes, meat ought to be well done. fortunately there are other important things to consider as well, such as taste and pleasure

Ill-informed, culturally slanted rubbish.

sure, but it isn't me telling your taste is messed-up.

Is this in the Koran or something like that, so that it is forbidden to ask why?

Incidentally the FDA just put out a report on the 10 top dangerous foods. Leafy greens were #1, and all of the top 10 were vegetables, dairy or seafood. Red meat did not even get on the charts.

Meat didn't make the list cuz beef, pork and poultry are regulated by the usda, not the fda, and weren't included in the study.

Thanks. The headline was ''TOP 10 RISKIEST FOODS''.

Only in the article did it say it only considered foods regulated by the FDA.
