The Asian Swing 2009
I took the liberty of opening this thread since Benoit does not seem to be around. Let it bring good luck and at least one title to Jo!
According to his website, Jo will play 3 tournaments in Asia.
28.09.2009 Thailand Open - Bangkok Thailand
05.10.2009 Japan Open - Tokyo Japan
12.10.2009 Shanghai ATP Masters 1000 - Shanghai China

Re: The Asian Swing 2009
Sorry for the trouble, Bashak. I am quite busy these days
I am all for the title at Bangkok but there is a potential semi against Isner around the corner that is making me nervous
Did anyone else notice how they took the liberty to write down the masters in london on his schedule, even if he is far from being qualified there ?
At least with the number of tournament that he is playing in the two monthes coming and with that little "bévue", we know what his objectives are for this end of season.
As for me, I hope that the confidence gained from the dc tie will boost him enough to win at least one of the two masters remaining. I don't care much for the london event, but some big wins against many top players are really needed for the next season.
Allez Jo !

Re: The Asian Swing 2009
I know! I saw the London Finals on his schedule and thought to myself "well, way to get ahead of yourself team Tsonga!" I guess they are confident he'll either defend Paris or win Shanghai. He has to defend Bangkok as well. He must be counting on mediocre performances from fellow players, too. As far as I know Jo has the highest number of points to lose before the end of the season. And frankly, with Soderling, Gonzalez and Verdasco in competition it is going to be very tough... I also don't care too much about the finals but it would be nice to see him play.
Yeah, he saved the day in the Netherlands but I didn't expect any less from him. I seriously hope between the north american summer tourneys and now Jo and Eric have outlined a plan against big servers, studied and mastered it because if he has big goals to reach, those 2m-tall guys are always going to be an obstacle.
Best of luck in Bangkok!
