Finally Forget selected 5 players:
Tsonga, Monfils, Benneteau, Llodra and Gasquet as the 5th guy.

Logical selection but i am a bit surprised for the 5th player, is Gasquet better on fast indoor than Simon?

I'm a bit surprised at selection of Monfils - his last few tournaments he hasn't looked physically OR mentally fit.

Going on recent form (before Gasquet got hurt AGAIN) and Gasquet's ability to play a much more aggresive S&V game than Simon, I'm not that surprised. Plus Gasquet could play decent doubles if it were necessary. Actually Llodra, if O.K. physically might be the best second singles player on a indoor court in France

I just can't wait to see if Verdasco implodes again (like in Nice) with the French crowd on his back

But I don't think so. He is a suitable choice, because Mathieu is performing suspension period yet.

According to this article Jo could miss the game against Spain ( wrist injury).
Simon is not going to play and Richard is doubtful.
I dont know how serious it ( the article ) is but it's getting worrying...

So is bringing in Jeremy Chardy completely unrealistic if Jo or Richie can't do it, or would they just play Bennet or Mika?

He's seeing the doc this morning to take a decision.
Jérémy looks like the most likely choice at the moment, according to L'Equipe. Gilles is an option too - but Jérémy was playing better in Wimby anyway. Nico has already left for Newport.

Anyway, the most logical choice in singles on Friday is either Bennet or Mika.

Jo out. although it would be a wonderful story if France could beat Spain without him.

Default Re: Davis Cup 2010: Vamos Franciaaaaaa...

I read it in L'Equipe, here's the whole article, but they don't say anything else:
Quote:
