Have fun I hope for you guys he will come, but tbh I don't know if it's the smartest thing he could do. Maybe a little bit of rest will be best for him.

His draw:
[8] ISNER, John USA vs TIPSAREVIC, Janko SRB
DARCIS, Steve BEL vs PETZSCHNER, Philipp GER
SEPPI, Andreas ITA vs HAJEK, Jan CZE
GARCIA-LOPEZ, Guillermo ESP vs [3] MONFILS, Gael FRA

[7] MELZER, Jurgen AUT vs CHIUDINELLI, Marco SUI
RAMIREZ HIDALGO, Ruben ESP vs QUALIFIER
[WC] KOUBEK, Stefan AUT vs GIL, Frederico POR
KUBOT, Lukasz POL vs [2] STEPANEK, Radek CZE

No idea if he's already there, I don't see him mentioned anywhere. Pretty much everybody was at the draw ceremony this morning (Cilic, Kohli, Melzer, Köllerer, Koubek...), but no Gaël.
Fingers crossed he's scheduled on Monday now.

It's not important, but I hadn't even realized that Steps was ahead of him in the rankings, I thought Gaël was the 2nd seed.

He looked like his thoughts were somewhere else for most parts of the match and it wasn't pretty apart from the serve, but he did the job in the end with the help of GGL (a break at the end of each set, 7-5 6-4).

Hajek now, he should be able to sleep his way through that one too.

He might need some support if he plays against Tipsy, because Tipsy looks in fine form - and there are a lot of Serbian fans in Vienna.

http://www.nachrichten.at/sport/tenn...;art106,284310
It says that he spent more time on the massage table than on the tennis court lately because of his back. The back seems fine now, but it looks like the knee is flaring up again, he was icing it after the match. He wasn't moving well indeed yesterday, but I thought he was just not trying very hard.
He says that his game was OK, but he'll have to really step it up physically.
And of course he's asked about the fact that he plays Vienna instead of Lyon. ^^ He said yesterday that he prefers the surface of Vienna (Vienna is a bit faster this year and Lyon is much slower now with the new surface, but it makes sense that Vienna suits his game better). His goal is to win, so he plays the tournament where he thinks he has the best chances to win. In the article he says that he likes it in Vienna and that he already won Metz 4 weeks ago anyway.

The article also says that Vienna is pleased to have him here, which at least for my part is totally true. No worries, I will be there tomorrow, including my voice. He just HAS to win today.

The 1st set was nice!
I thought his knee was bothering him again, but he said he had a headache. Not sure what was the reason for that performance after the 1st set, but it was atrocious.

The first set was rather weak, the second was superb, though, and the athmosphere was great. Both players had lots of support. In fact, I have hardly ever seen such a good crowd in Vienna. In the third set, Gael's level declined, while Tipsarevic kept his, I also felt that Gael was tired, but overall it was a good match to watch. I am happy to have seen it live.
