Maybe he was hoping to play a swedish WC who plays tennis only the week-end lol but this very young Copil is talented so with all the gifts of Arno the issu should be the same The best match he did lately was against Tipsy in Metz because he was not the fav so less pression here there is a lot.

I also think that as Arno entered doubles with Lindstedt in a way he has to come in Stockholm. Let's hope he will take more pleasure than vs Guez.

Good news I've never heard about that Swedish guy either, I guess he doesn't even have an ATP ranking? I think that the fact that he is a local player can explain his victory and good stats on serve. There are quite specific surface and lighting conditions at the tennis centre in Sthlm, and many players who play there for the first time have problems with it. Anyway Arnaud will have a good chance to score one more victory tomorrow.

I found who was that Eric Moberg he's junior born in march 1992 . It was his first time on the atp tour. Arno destroyed him 60 61 in 42 minutes. After Copil 19 years old, Moberg 17 years old Arno will play tomorrow against Janowicz 18 years old . Janowicz seems to be talented because many people speaks about him.

The junior tour was finally nice He can get Soderling now but at least he got through these qualies. It's good for his head.

Arno also asked for a WC in Lyon but he is not the only one and some guys deserves it more http://www.welovetennis.fr/gptl/1637...nt-les-invites

Soderling isn't unbeatable.

Let's hope he gets the WC, hope Grosjean gets one too!

It will be Andreas Beck tomorrow on center court. It's a pity he didn't get Kontinen cos he's good vs juniors lol. Good luck to Arno anyway he already did well to qualify himself.

I beat Andreas at a hitting-tennis-balls-through-a-hole-game in Halle this year, 1-0. So I guess it's ok for Arno, because I don't play tennis (never hit a serious ball in my life).
And I think Andi can be qualified as a junior compared to Arno.

It's great that Arnaud qualified to the main draw in Stockholm. And a pity that I can't go there this year to see the action live. Good luck for him in the main draw!

I followed big part of the match on the stream which is really poor but it doesn't matter. Beck was awful on serve today and he did a tons of UE.
Arno had a very efficient second serve today with serves on the body of Beck or with many variations in the zones. His attacks of backhand was really nice very few UE so it was not incedible but very clean by arno. Beck wasn't in a good day and Arno take his chance

Clement finally breaks losing run article by Eurosport

Clement finally breaks losing run
Eurosport - Tue, 20 Oct 16:37:00 2009

French veteran Arnaud Clement won his first ATP-level match since Roland Garros as he broke a losing streak lasting almost five months with a 6-4 6-2 defeat of German Andreas Beck at the Stockholm Open.

Former Australian Open finalist Clement, ranked 138, turned the tables on his bad luck in dramatic fashion with the upset of the fifth seed after qualifying for the main draw at the Kungligahallen.

Clement's season had been a huge disappointment since winning his French Open first round against Russian Dmitry Tursunov, with the 31-year-old falling in seven matches since that success on May 27.
Clement is playing this week for the first time in a month after going out in the Metz opening round as a lucky loser to Serb Janko Tipsaravic.
The Frenchman's win was his eight of the season against 17 defeats and left Beck, the Gstaad winner on clay in August, standing 22-20.
The number 37 German, at fifth the only seed on court during Day two, saved a pair of match points in the penultimate game but eventually fell to Clement's overwhelming superiority on the day.
The winner broke three times while saving the only two break points he faced. He next plays either German Michael Berrer, a fellow qualifier, or rising Finn Henri Kontinen, the 19-year-old who lost the Wimbledon junior final in 2008.
And the one by the ATP

Arnaud Clement won his eighth tour-level match of the season.
French qualifier Arnaud Clement won his first tour-level match since May as he accounted for fifth seed Andreas Beck 6-4, 6-2 Tuesday in the first round of the If Stockholm Open, an ATP World Tour 250 indoor hard-court tennis tournament.
The former Top 10 member had lost in the opening round of six tour-level events since a second-round showing (l. to C. Rochus) at Roland Garros. The 31 year old, who won three matches in qualifying, saved both break points he faced, while capitalising on three of the six opportunities he created to seal victory after 76 minutes. It was Clement's eighth tour-level win of the year.
"It was much better today," said Clement. "I've been losing in the first round of challenger events in the past few weeks but I'm starting to play much better. I've won a few matches in the last few days and it's great for my confidence.
"I wasn't feeling great physically in the last few months and lost all my confidence. Winning qualifying matches has helped me find my form, and winning my first main-draw match since Roland Garros against a seed helps a lot."
World No. 37 Beck, 101 places higher than Clement in the South African Airways 2009 ATP Rankings, slipped to a 22-20 mark on the season. The German reached his first ATP World Tour final at the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad (l. to Bellucci) in July and recently posted back-to-back quarter-final efforts at the Open de Moselle (l. to Mathieu) in Metz and the PTT Thailand Open (l. to Melzer) in Bangkok.
Clement next will face fellow qualifier Michael Berrer, who ended the hopes of Finnish qualifier Henri Kontinen with a 7-5, 7-6(7) victory in two hours and nine minutes. "It's a nice opportunity to progress further but I can't take anything for granted," said Clement.
Arno on the ATP website after this win it deserves a capture
