he's not in the draw for the futures tournament so it must be an injury (or the flu). he wouldn't have refused the QWC since i remember him saying a while ago that he was even after a main draw WC.

Unfortunately I was unable to compete in the qualifying event for the Wimbledon men's singles because I was entered in another tournament at the same time and the Wimbledon committee informed me of my wildcard after the withdrawal deadline had been applied. It was a very confusing situation, however, its in the past now and I am looking ahead to the juniors coming up. My lead up tournament which is the Roehampton Juniors starts on sunday and I will be training very hard in preparation for the first round of that!"

What a mix up! His management are probably to blame, they must of known he was an extremely likely chance at a qualifying wild card well before it was officially announced.

I think it was Argentine Guillermo Pérez Roldán who won Roland Garros in 1986 and 1987. |
