Re: Laurynas Grigelis (LTU)
Sakinis is also playing in this tournament. Could potentially play Grigelis in the quarterfinals, for an all-Lithuanian match up.

Re: Laurynas Grigelis (LTU)
Lauyrnas lost first round in qualifying. Tough loss, but he probably isn't at ATP 250 level yet, should finish up the year with some of the higher challengers.
I actually really liked this draw in Stockholm, a lot of kids trying for it, Krajinovic, Kontinen and Kontinen also competing in qualifiyng

I agree with you
He's better than his ranking shows, but I think Laurynas should play a mix of Futures and Challengers to keep growing and get a higher a ranking

Ya, especially since the challengers get less difficult near the end of the year. I remember Robin Haase was unranked last year in October, and then made two challenger semi-finals in November, just because the draws were really weak, and look at him now.

nonsense talk from you there.. haase is a former top60 player, he is underrated and was injured. he could easily make back to back semis at the world's best challengers, no doubt. his results have nothing to do with weak fields at those two challengers. you cannot compare haase with grigelis. period.

I wasn't comparing the two in terms of playing level, but rather I was saying that Grigelis could make the same kind of end-of-the-year jump. I could also have compared him to Ignatik who bumped up a lot at this time of year, or Harrison. Both of them made a nice jump up the rankings in the October-November area

Re: Laurynas Grigelis (LTU)
Nice picture of Laurynas and Oskaras (and someone I don't recognize) from futuretalent.it
And they both won their 1st round matches in Ortisei qualies.
