I have recently heard tons of people try their own version of "Empire State of Mind". I guess it's an easy ryhme pattern and beat to follow. But almost nobody knows that the original is NY state of Mind by Nas in the Illmatic

NY State of mind on illmatic and NY state of mind 2 on I am...the autobiography are two of the best tracks I've ever heard (but of course the original New York State of Mind was written by Billy Joel in 1976).

Here's a pretty good track from another Brooklyn rapper, AZ. Don't know much about him, except that he killed Nas on Life's a bitch on illmatic.

Pretty good track.

I've also been listenin to some Slaughterhouse, the rap super group, they're pretty fire. Old school in a new school age.

there's lot you don't know about me.. one of them being my taste in music (which is broad )

I grew up listening to Tupac and Bob Marley..

Picture My Pain is the latest CD, released this year.. my favorite track is Picture My Pain, don't know why but it just catches me
I know Me Against The World as well, good CD.
Than again, there's probably no CD of Tupac I haven't at least heard once...

I haven't looked at Relapse:Refill yet but I don't think I will. I hear its only an addition of 7 songs onto Relapse none of which are that memorable.
