I have made thousands this year betting against Tiger. Taking a guy to win a golfing major at 3.00 and under is like taking Federer in each tennis match at 1.03. The only way you make any money long term is if you are the luckiest guy in the world.

For what it's worth, I'm quite certain I've only ever lost 3 times betting against Tiger - last week thanks to some utter from Harrington, last year's US Open thanks to numerous Mediate chokes, and the 2005 Masters thanks to dickhead DiMarco not being able to seal the deal.

TIGER WOODS'S unprecedented collapse in the final round of golf's PGA Championship was a $2.1 million bogey for Paddy Power, Ireland's largest bookmaker.

When Woods opened a four-shot lead after the second round, Paddy Power made early payouts to bettors who wagered on Woods to win the year's final major tournament.

The decision backfired when Woods blew a two-shot lead and was denied his 15th major championship by South Korea's Y.E. Yang at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota.

Woods entered the final round as the 1-5 favourite, having never lost a major in 14 chances going into the last round at least tied for the lead.
