Poor Matt...his hard work...he deserved to get the win out there today...

Matt had a convincing 6-2 6-3 win against Isaac Frost in the first round at Caloundra. No surprises considering he had Frost's measure last year. Hopefully he can have a closer match with Yen-Hsun Lu in the second round this time around.

Lost 6-3 6-2. Lu won 23 out of 25 points off his first serve meanwhile Matt's first serve stats weren't as impressive as his first round performance. He isn't entered for the upcoming Australian Futures.

Matt is the tope seed in a futures event in Croatia this week and had a first round win against a qualifier 6-2 2-6 6-2. Strange he travelled to Europe to play on clay when he could have played in Aus on clay?

Good result for Matt Reid in Blumenau in South America - gets up in 3 sets against Tiago Lopez.
He was a bit wobbly in the 3rd after winning a tight first set 7-5, dropped the second 2-6, then went up an early break to lead 2-0 in the 3rd set. He saved a breakpoint to get to 3-0, then dropped his serve to get to 3-2. He managed to steady the ship though, improving his serve from a low 39% to above 50%, in winning the 3rd set 6-3. Good fight Matt.
