Andrey needs a wildcard into some ATP tour level tounrey. He is doing extremly good.
Well, he's doing well but still needs to step up and produce some decent results at challenger-level before seeking for WCs in ATP tournaments, I guess. Wild cards aren't all that good, as people may think.
Some of them you are refering to are a bit undeserved, and I'm saying this as a fan. So that means little to me. Also Andrey himself already received a couple of WCs last year.
There's no need for him to rush at the moment. Let's give him some time to develop his game. As long as he keeps doing his job well, there will be enough of chances to take.
andrey has moved another 2 spots up in the rankings to # 278!
he did lose in the first round of the singles draw in the italy f4 futures to ilya belyaev 4-6 4-6
but then he went on to win the doubles title with ilya belyaev defeating the number 1,2, and 4 seeded teams along the way all of which are miles above them in the rankings.
final score was 6-4, 7-6 over Juan-Martin aranguren and alejandro fabbri of argentina.
andrey will be competing in the france futures event starting on the 19th of april and i velieve he will be the number 7 seed once again.
anyone think andrey could finish in the top 100's by years end? and by that i mean 101-200 rank .
