Hello Glen, I believe to have seen some of your posts in the forums before this thread. I'm Manuel

I'm glad there are plenty of classic rock lovers in this forum. Most of modern music (80%+) is quite crappy.

Classsic Rock is classic for a reason.

Nice to meet you

I see you're a McEnroe fan, which current players do you follow?

Well my taste in tennis is sort like my taste in music. All time favs, are Mac, Laver, Natase, Sampras, Ashe, Agassi, and Conners.

As for today, I sort of rotate. I like some things about all of the top 4, and I dislike some things about all of them too. Lately my fav player is who ever I picked to win, and who I put vcash on. At some point on MTF, I've pissed off just about every fan base. I like to think of myself and an equal opportunity irritator.

I'll rate them. But really, I'm pretty much a neutral tennis fan.

If Stan is a 10 (more like a 100000),

Federer 9
Nadal 9
Djokovic 8
Murray 7 (He's a dickhead and too pushy)
D-Pot 8
Roddick 8 (I like the player)
Verdasco 7 (Too ballbashy)
Tsonga 7 (Same, and too clownish, like Monfils, and French )

I generally dislike underachievers or players who don't take their job seriously like Gasquet, Nalby (but I love seeing him play when he dumps the burgers), Berdych etc. and I love fighers who are pretty much the contrary like Ferrer, Santoro etc. But I like many different styles.

D'ya get the jist?

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

We coincided again... I'm like your nemesis but younger and more European.

I know, it's kind of scary sometimes.

I am so undecided on most of these guys today it's ridiculous. If I listed them out right now, it would be in a different order 10 minutes from now.

I get the jist But whilst underachievers are a pain in the backside to support, they keep it unpredictable and more often than not show those glimpses of brilliance that those other consistent players don't show. Nalbandian for example is either hot or cold, but when he is on, boy is he a joy to watch. I love his double hander almost as much as Gasquet's and Stan's single handed BH's.

I don't know if it's a case of "not taking the job seriously" though. I think in most instances it's a matter of having been over hyped and having too much expectations to deliver at the big stage where their nerves and headcasyness get the better of them. I seriously find it hard to believe that Gasquet took that stuff.

That's for sure. They certainly do keep it entertaining, even the most of the times I want to bang my head against a wall. I'm a fan of safin, nalby, and gasquet, three big head cases. Supporting them can be frustrating, but it's also fun as well.
