I'm sure you've heard of it already, our former president Corazon "Cory" Aquino died last Saturday.

That hit a lot of Filipinos including me because she did a lot for our country. She continued to voice out what her husband Ninoy died for and lead the people power revolution back in 1986 to oust our dictator Ferdinand Marcos. She also brought back the freedom and democracy in this country. Cory wasn't just a president but also like a mom to all of the Filipino people, a symbol of hope. She loved the Filipinos more than you could possibly imagine. We are forever grateful for what she did and the amount of love and support the thousands of people are giving her in her funeral is amazing.. very reminiscent of the time her husband died.

The whole country is mourning.
