Default Re: Seb is (again) hurt...

He said on his website on Wednesday that he was going to have 2 days treatment for his tendinitis (a biceps tendinitis) and he would make a test on Saturday morning to see if he was able to play. If his shoulder was still bothering him, he would withdraw from Madrid, otherwise he would leave for Madrid on Saturday afternoon.
He's in the draw, so I guess his shoulder is fine again.
(It looks like a very quick recovery for a tendinitis though?)

Here's what he wrote:

Yes, you're right, he clearly says in his last entry they granted his request to play on Tuesday.
His training on Saturday was encouraging, that's why he decided to play Madrid. He could play from the baseline without any pain, but he still doesn't serve normally, it would be too risky. And he says again at the end that if he continues his treatment, he should be ready for *Tuesday*.

An article from RMC.FR
Quote:

Effectivement, cette épaule me gêne depuis maintenant cinq mois.

He said that he could withdraw RG if he isn't at 100%. The tendon of his right shoulder is a little bit cracked and he hasn't play since MC. He arrives Tuesday on Paris and will do a test at this moment.

Some news in L'Equipe today, he will play in Paris:
Quote:
GROSJEAN : REPRISE LUNDI. Y aura l’envie ! »
He will start practicing again on Monday. His adductors are fine now, but he’s still struggling with that shoulder injury. He doesn’t want an OP, so he preferred to get an injection after MC and underwent an electromyogram which was encouraging, the nerve is OK.
He says he’s not worried because he’s not in pain atm. He’s doing a lot of work on his shoulder and if he starts his preparation a tad too late for Roland, it’s not that important, at least he feels eager to play.

Merci.
I don't know what to hope for him in RG, after one week of training but well, at least he'll be there.

I don't know exactly where to post this... anyway, here's a picture of Seb in the France-Alzheimer association charity football match at the Charlety Stadium in Paris, France on May 20, 2008.

Seb seems (almost) happier when he plays soccer than tennis.
Thanks Ome.

Thank you Ome

So was it the charity match Seb mentioned in his Monte-Carlo interview or there is going to be another exhibition, the tennis one, where he takes part?

Anyway he looks more natural playing tennis

There is a short interview where Seb tells how much he appreciates Guga and that he hopes they'll play RG doubles together: http://dev.rmc.fr/edito/sport/47549/...nse-champion-/.
