Nieminen forfeited in time for Mahut to jump in as a lucky loser. Kind of wish he did that in the middle of the match to get Seb some much needed atp points .
Go Seb!!!!!

After almost 2 hours Seb comes out with 7-6 7-5. What a great win for his confidence!!!
This is the 1st ATP win since Wimbledon 2008.

If anyone sees an interview or any article about him after this match and can translate it and post it, I would appreciate it!

Let's hope his shoulder feels good after this, for him probably, long match.

That's the comeback Allez Seb!
(Too bad there was no livestream )

He plays Gael next.

There will most probably be an audio interview on the FFT page, we just need to wait a little bit.
So far they mention there that even if his serve isn't as fast as before yet, his footwork is great.

I was impressed that he lost his serve only once. He won 68% of his service points. 71% on his 1st serve and 64% on his 2nd serve. I think that 71% is what would be around 80% in a match like this before the injury. Mahut had only 2 break points in the whole match (Seb's 12 service games) so that's really good.

For Tomorrow Gael is not in a good shape so why not after all ?

The audio of Seb is online

On 15-lovetennis they did 4 report on the Open de la Baie de Somme and the last one is focus on Seb
http://www.15-lovetennis.com/?p=1163

He gives his schedule Metz - Rennes- Orleans - Lyon and surely Bercy and speaks about his carrer and his future.

I like that schedule. Couple of challengers and then progressively more important tournaments.
Did he say anything else that was interesting? How does his body and more importantly shoulder feel?
Match starts around 19:00

Well, in the article he tells that he was happy to play two matches in a row without pain - something that hadn't happened to him for a long while. His shoulder was feeling a little bit uncomfortable and tired, but pain-free. He adds some details about his serve, that at the moment he serves at 170-180 km/h without any problems. He knows that he won't be able to serve at 210 km/h anymore, but he hopes to improve it up to 190 km/h.

He also mentioned his shoulder in his post-match interview yesterday. If I got it right (if I didn't hopefully there is someone to correct me ), he told that after the match he didn't feel himself physically tired, maybe except for his shoulder, but even if the shoulder was a bit tired there were no particular pains. A victory was important for him, but what was even more important was the fact of being able to play a long and solid match. In the begining he was maybe a bit feared to serve, but soon he managed to relax a bit and it helped him to hit and serve better. He was very good on return, and he claimed that it was the key to the win.
About his match against Gael, he said that he was going to rather concentrate on his own game and make a solid match. According to Seb, playing against top players is a good opportunity to test yourself.

Thank you! Good to hear that his shoulder is good. Hopefully his shoulder muscles can handle the intensity.
