yes he is, i think he is 76-1 when he wins the 1st set in slams and his only loss after winning the 1st set was to ferrer in 2007 US open, and that whole tournament he had tendinitis and esp. in that match. rafa's legend grows.
I'm not exactly sure. They quoted it at the Australian Open final, pointing out how important the first set was to both players because they both had incredible records of going on to win the match. Turns out they were right. The only GS loss Federer has suffered in the last 4 years after winning the first set was Roland Garros final 2006.
Whether you win the first set is irrelevant, the issue is whether you win the match after winning the first set. Cos if you don't win the match then it shows you let the other guy back in the match, and thats a big flaw to have for a top player.
If you're an opposing player....I would say you would least want SAMPRAS to get a break up on you, because you know you aren't coming back in that set.
Thought Oz was asleep. You must be taking the piss cos Sampy and Rafa is one and the same thing at opposite ends of the spectrum. Good comic relief as always!
On to other things. Go to the haircut thread and make some comments on Murrays hair, i feel like laughing some more.
Nice job commenting on the actual subject at hand....and making yourself look like an absolute moron in the process. Go back to trolling the WTA forums....maybe there they are dumb enough to fall for your act.
