Re: Madrid Open: vamos Tommy!
Wow that got close again. But good to see that Tommy still managed to win it.

Tommy was the lucky one? In my book it was more Gulbis who escaped over and over again ...

Re: Madrid Open: vamos Tommy!
Yeah, nice reward, the match against Andy, and in moving images for us.
Just to crunch some numbers, Tommy beat Andy four times on clay, never lost, and it's Andy's debut on clay this year. Now we'll see where Tommy is standing right now ...
At least he has a day off now after three matches.

Re: Madrid Open: vamos Tommy!
I don't expect anything from the next match but it's great for Tommy that he is getting some match practice. And some wins in a row (even in quali draw) should be good for his confidence.

Re: Madrid Open: vamos Tommy!
I still wonder whether Tommy will get additional points for going through the qualis. Like, currently 45 plus 25? Would be fair ... I have no idea about these things; never had to worry about stuff like that with Tommy before ...

Re: Madrid Open: vamos Tommy!
Just looked into it a bit and now can answer my own question with a "yes" ... that's cool, so now Tommy's at least already past that 1000 points barrier once again.
Now maybe some more points here, then some in Paris, and he should have a little cushion in case something bad happens on grass ...

That's good to know It would be good if we can concentrate on his ranking once again
