He probably thought Roger would deserve it, just that easy

I don't think everybody liked it to read Roger's interview in the Spanish press about it Though I haven't understand it yet whether Roger refuses the award in general or just said he won't be able to accept it personally. There's only a small mention in the Swiss media about it.

Maybe he's refusing the award in general because he wouldn't be able to accept it in person (in case he won it)? Idk, just throwing out a random guess here.

Ivo takes the first set against Blake. Serve stats in Madrid have been similar to grass serve stats for many player--Ivo could be difficult to break if he hangs on against James. Everyone's been hitting aces left and right.

Re: Qué Será, Será - Buena suerte a Madrid Roger
I'm a bit tired of seeing Rogi always against Karlovic at the start of tournaments, it happened SO many times... Montreal 07, Paris 07, Rome 08, Cincinnati 08, Indian Wells 09, Rome 09, and now probably Madrid 09 ..
Their matches are pretty much always boring, especially because I simply hate to see Karlovic play lolll, can't stand all-serve players..

Next opponent will be Blake (no Karlovic, thank god :|). Good luck, Roger~.

Re: Qué Será, Será - Buena suerte a Madrid Roger
I am glad Roger is playing Blake. I got tired of watching Roger play Ivo.
