I learned calculus one summer in college. The semester immediately after that, my brain promptly emptied itself. I can't remember how to do any calculus anymore.

ahhh...isn't it always the case with maths? not sure if i told it to uguys or to the hippolings...but my A level math teacher once said....
ALL THIS STUFF YOU'RE LEARNING...they'll be useless once u go out to work, unless u choose to teach, like me the only thing that's useful is probability, for when you bet

Hmmm, I don't know. I suppose, it does depend somewhat on your profession (math is used extensively in the engineering field) but I think math's great lesson...is in problem solving. Can you identify the problem, recognize a method to solve it...then logically move from Step A to Step B to Step Z. Even the so-called creative professions like artists, musicians and writers...if they want to be successful (and live to tell about it), still have to function in the real world...with its real problems.
That said, I truly envy those with free-flowing minds and ideas. Mine is too f-n regimented.

I made Italian chicken for dinner.  Basically it's fried chicken but with a tomato-sauce based glaze over it.
