It's really frustrating, isn't it? I'll mark it down 1-2 in the second set 0-30, when he started showing signs that he'd had enough of it... Let's see what kind of attempt he makes to fight through it from here on in.

whenever he puts in good serves he wins easily...hope he can break back and win in 2, coz I highly doubt he has enough gas for 3 sets!! so weird saying this, don't know how will he do in the grand salms with the 5 sets!

Yeah the groundstrokes aren't that bad today. It's pretty much entirely the serve that's costing him.

Well he ain't doing it in slams for quite a while now. He ain't doing it even in 3 setters lately. Losing to PHM in MC will be a real achievement, cause this is probably his worse tournament, he has won only 1 match here in his entire career.

It's hard to feel confident about David's chances in this final set when he's showing body language like this.
But yeah, it seems like gradually his whole game has gone down now...

Not an easy win, but not bad. Mathieu is not a pushover in general but today he wasn't playing particularly well, so it would've been a shame if David lost to him.
