Hi Yvo, Nadine (where have you been lately?) , Rita, Cath
Did anyone here watch the latest Harry Potter movie?

Yeah, I am very happy with this. When Andy was in the lead in a big race earlier this year, my best friend came on msn to talk to me, because she knew I had to be excited about it, but didn't have anyone to talk about it. She watched the end of the race, talking to me on msn. And that while I had been driving her mad about Andy for at least a week already, because it was a week after I had met Andy in Maastricht

And you only realize you still follow it that good, when you talk about it to others You know, still knowing everything what happened, even while you have a break of it.
Yvo Sorry, I couldn't reply yesterday. I just dropped off

I see. So what all sports do you follow, Yvo?

She sounds like a really nice friend

Yeah

Yes, he is. (a character, I mean) I hope he's someone's double account or a troll, because if he actually believes what he says
How have you been, Rita?

Haven't seen Harry Potter yet, guess I'll wait until my brother has it downloaded and watch it together with him.
Are you a Harry Potter fan?

I left not much later as well, was very tired as well

Mostly follow tennis, soccer, cycling, speedskating, anything else what is on tv... dunno it differs a lot, but I like sports in general. Just grew up watching sports.

She definitely is a great friend, and best is, I met her through mtf

Ok then, I won't spoil it for you I'm a fan of the books, yes. Of the movies, I'm not sure, really. I mean, I always look forward to seeing them, and am hyper excited when they're about to release, but once I watch it , I'm sort of neutral. It's like I can't help but compare them, and as a reader, I imagine things in a particular way, think that some instance deserves prominence, and other don't really matter much, but the movies seem to represent in a different way, and so often I find myself wishing for this and that instead of enjoying the movie as it is. Just can't help it though
How about you? Do you read books a lot?

Must be all the Andy excitement that made you tired

That's nice It's weird that I played sports a lot growing up, but never really watched it much. These days I mainly follow tennis, badminton, athletics, cricket ( just can't escape it here ) and gymnastics.

That's awesome

Well, I've read the books quite a few times, so I know the story pretty good.
Sounds like me with the movies, though I have stopped looking forward to them, because I know they aren't that good anyway. Usually I simply wait until they are available for download, simply because it's not really worth the money.
Just like you I am a reader, you got a view on things and in movies they are like never the same the way you thought about it. I really love reading, I visit bookshops regularly and always have to tell myself I can't spent all my money on books. Right now I am a little busy, but as soon as the tour is over my spare time will be on reading again

I like atletics too, but I don't follow it closely like some other sports. Actually I got that with a lot of sports, but I have watched sports ever since I was young. My dad watches a lot of sports and because I am quite a people person and as a kid kind of prefered to play in a room where people were instead of being in my own bed room alone, I started to follow it too.

Well, what made me tired is working. I started a new job, well actually the first weeks is only a course I have to follow, last week and have to till 5. Could leave like half an hour earlier today so I was back home in time to see the end of the great stage and see Andy and Fränk doing so great. Now I have to stay awake for another few hours to wait for the great cycling tv programm which will be all about the race. Can't skip it tonight, knowing that there will be a lot of time for the Schlecks

I meant I won't spoil the movie for you Because you see, if some one ever is unfortunate enough to get stuck listening to me, I rant and rave about what all was missing in the movie, and what should have been there from my point of view So, I'd possible have gone on and on about "blah blah blah" not being there and that scene and stuff

I'm an eternal ever suffering optimist

That's cool I enjoy reading books too And I have to stop myself from getting too many books as well Thankfully, there are several good libraries nearby which have a pretty neat collection of books

Oh I don't really care about the movies, but there might be some posters reading this thread who don't want to hear about it, so you better don't spoil indeed

Yeah but now I got a job I'll allow myself to buy a book regularly, it's a dream of mine to have a big collection of books myself. But I as well have a big library near me, so that's where I often go as well. Not all books are to be bought

Sadly it's just impossible to follow all, because there are too many great sports. Of course it depends on what you can get to see, in Holland it's just easy to follow sports like cycling, soccer, speedskating. Tennis is getting hard, but thanks to mtf I am still able to, and luckily there are enough tournies in the region to at least see some tennis live.

Yep I am happy with the Schleck brothers, and they are just great together, real cute. It's just a special story, two brothers in the peloton.
Jens Voigt crashed yesterday, he's a teammate of the Schleck brothers. It was a bad crash, but he is doing ok. It was nice of Fränk to dedicate this victory to Jens and Kurt the two teammates who had to leave the tour due to a crash.

Yep. I know I don't like it when something's spoilt for me, so I won't

Libraries I just adore them at times. Just staring at rows and rows of books
As long as it's not the college library before an exam. Then I go

Cricket here is telecast a lot. We don't miss telecast of too many matches. Tennis coverage too is pretty good. We get all the Grand Slams, Masters, Davis Cup and a couple of other tournaments like Dubai. It's pretty neat. Livestreams are the only go for the other ones

Good to hear that he's doing OK Is Frank Andy's brother? Nice of him indeed

It's quite late here, and I'm Talk to tomorrow

Yvo, hi How are things?

Tour is close to its end. But I love the Paris stage the most. Makes me remember why I want to live there. I hope, too, that you'd see him! Tell him I say hello

Thanks. I'm all right, can't hear with other ear though. It's annoying me. I tried to clean it but failed - as a result I can hear only half of my music.

Thanks for the rep. MTF wouldn't let me rep you back I'm doing alright Sort of enjoying a mini break from tennis after Wimby and Davis Cup Oh and I'm glad Richee's not banned too And I'm happy Robin won his home tournament and quite pleased with Chardy's title too
(OK, so not much of a break from tennis )
Hi Lekha, thanks
I don't know actually, I've felt weak and almost fainted in a shop. Have had some fever as well and felt sick. But I'm feeling better now, if ignoring the ear disaster.

Yeah, no problem.

I've been enjoying it a little, too. Not so good matches going on this week, either but I'm cheering for Monaco in Hamburg! He tries to see off Ferrer next, gonna be tough.

Ah, me too! I'm so happy justice happened that I could jump through the roof. Allez.

Venla That sounds annoying with your ear, you have ear problems a lot, don't you? I hope it will be over soon. Do you have problems to location sounds too? That's what I always hate most when my ear is blocked, when I hear a sound I have no idea where it is

I like the fun they have during the stage, but I mostly look forward to the stage of saturday. But I'm afraid it can't be as good as yesterday, unless they'll make a Schleck show of it again.

I am doing fine btw. Little busy with work but they keep sending me home early, won't complain of course because they will pay me full time anyway and I can watch TdF. Starting next week I won't have chance to leave early anymore, but that's no problem, because TdF is over then

and that's hard sometimes, not when you are the only one knowing. but sometimes you want to talk about a movie or book with one and then you accidently spoil it for others. Happened to me a lot, that I spoilt it that way for others.

I love libraries too. And bookshops, every where on the world. Even if there are just few books in a language I understand Books are just great.

Yep Fränk is the older brother of Andy. Apparently they had agreed with Contador that the Schlecks could win the stage, then Andy said to his brother "You helped me a lot in the mountains for the GC, now I can help you to the victory." They were so happy. Oh and real cool in the interview on tv after the stage, Fränk spoke some words in Dutch I didn't know he spoke some words Dutch, but he's real good in languages so I shouldn't be surprised.

I was off as well, watching a detective on tv and after the great tv programm with lots of time for the Schlecks and our new national hero "Kenny van Hummel" who sadly had to leave the tour yesterday
