he withdraw from doubles today, somthing happen in his game yesterday he play normal in first, deep shot and wait fault from Tipsarevic then when he 3-1 the game chang he want very aggressive in stupied way very hard shot i think he want to lose because his form not normal, he could easy win if he want but i dont understand what happen really, i think he had problem after Rotterdam, beacuse he dont put much energy and his game change he had good start season then he drop i wish his problem slove i wish he back stong in Barcelona if he not withdraw of course.

Gael It's better to withdraw if the knee is really bothering him. At least, I'm assuming it's the knee?

Re: The "Ready to get down & dirty aka clay season 09" thread
Yeah, the official reason is "left knee". Eurosport writes he might stop one month according to Forget, but I don't know where this is coming from:
http://fr.sports.yahoo.com/ticker/hu...l?item=1908546
Maybe Forget said that on French TV.
I really don't get why he's been practicing 5 hours a day during the week before MC then and why his team said he can play. But as real995 says, he spent his match yesterday signalling that he wasn't even trying, so I prefer him to stop and come back when he feels like playing.

L'Equipe also writes he will withdraw from Barcelona, Forget says again he might be out for 3-6 weeks. His physical trainer Chamagne says nobody knows yet, Gaël will see Montalvan in Paris and then they will take a decision.

Re: The "Ready to get down & dirty aka clay season 09" thread
Thanks for the info...
6 weeks means no Rome, no Madrid and no RG
I dont get why he continues to play tuesday the match if he was injured, he should withdraw... only Nadal finishes a match with one knee missing and it was for a final...

True. I think it's weird he didn't retire during the match or even before the match Hopefully he won't miss a lot of tournaments

Re: The "Ready to get down & dirty aka clay season 09" thread
I listened to the first part about the Frenchies too, but I can't remember anything new. Tendinitis of both knees with an "osseous outgrowth" on the left knee, I don't know how to say it in English either. They just confirm the bump on the knee is quite impressive.
You mean "how he could play with this "? He was able to train 4-5 hours a day with it during the week before MC, it was mentioned everywhere! That's why I'm still pissed he basically tanked again after 4 games. I'm not denying at all he has a serious problem with his knees, but we know about it for a while now and the way he's been dealing with it doesn't make sense at all, now he has to stop at the worst possible time... Typical Gaël stuff, I don't get at all what he's doing.

Re: The "Ready to get down & dirty aka clay season 09" thread
I though it was a tendinitus like the one of Rafa with a little pain. I would say how he could continue with this injury which is a problem even without tennis pratice.
I think there is a problem of communication between some persons or i thinks Gael doesn't know exactly what he wants play with pain and be destroyed after each match or take some rest.

Re: The "Ready to get down & dirty aka clay season 09" thread
yes, the post ostrava is not the best.
The way they managed these injuries (plurial because he is injured to both knees, even worse than only one I think) remembers me the management of the injury of Gasquet. They are still continuing to play with injuries until the moment that it is so bad that their only solution is to stop.
They mentionned he will see the doctor from the fft today, so he will know how long he has to stop.
