only care about Murray winning the last point of the match, don't care about number of sets, games, being close, deserved or not

Really tough matchup to gauge IMO. When they played in Flushing Meadows JMDP could have easily won that duel and although Murray is playing better how can you take anything away from Del Potro? He was simply too good for the #1 yesterday. JMDP also has the deep penetrating blows to really give Murray fits. Murray looks so good on paper but who knows here.

Djokovic to win first set +170
Djokovic to win match +200

My reasoning behind this is that Novak will be very motivated to beat Federer especially since he practically called him an unfit quitter after the Australian Open. I keep thinking about how well he played vs Roddick after hearing comments of him possibly faking injury. I know that weather was not a factor in that match but if the weather isn't as hot today as the last few days, it is worth a shot to back Novak.

Truth hurts. Djokovic isn't in the top 4 anymore and maybe with the emergence of JMDP not even top 5.

He certainly hasn't played like a top five player for the last little while but he is dangerous when he has a chip on his shoulder

S. Kuznetsova/A. Mauresmo over A-L. Groenefeld/P. Schnyder , 1.60

I think Svetlana and Amelie are better doubles players but also better singles players . Main reason Groenefeld and Schnyder have been winning most matches was their advantage as better singles players having better game to beat their opponents but that wont be the case today . If Svetlana is over her loss to Azarenka yesterday they could take it and win the whole thing .

Hi all n00b here to the forum, thought i'd give my 2 cents.

Federer - Djokovic

Federer leads the h2h 7-2 and over came a rejuvenated Roddick in the Quarters.

Whilst Djokovic has had it easy until Tsonga nearly got the best of him in the last round when the Serb struggled with the heat and to this day i'm stunned that Tsonga didn't win that second set as Nole had nothing left to give!

A healthy Nole is a quality player still despite his troubles but it's the mid day sun that worries me about him. His price is a tasty 3.50 on the exchanges but I just don't see him having enough to beat Roger.

If he does it will be in 3 sets but by that point how will the heat of took it's toll on him? a few days isn't long enough to get over a stomach bug and dehydration.

Roger played at night against Roddick and despite going to 3 sets showed us he's still a winner and it will take a great perfromance to beat him.

Onto the bets...

Roger @ 1.40 just doesn't appeal to me...
Roger 2-0 or 2-1 i'm torn between, 2-0 if roger takes the first but it's the first set when Djokovic will be at his happiest and if he comes out all guns blazing the first set could easily be his. I can't make a pick in the set betting.

Overs/unders also depends on if Djokovic wins the first, sorry if that's repetitive but i just don't see an unwell Nole coming back from 1 down to make it a 3 setter once Federer gets into his rhythm.

i feel the safest pick is Roger @ 1.40 although i ideally wanted something around 1.60-1.65
