Yes, he will lose his points of his Madrid final in October 2009 and it will coincide with the new Shanghai event. They keep their points for 12 months.

Merci, I am so stunned about what happened today, I wrote his sf result in Madrid instead of runner up result.
what do you think about him needing to gain some weight and muscle?
you said in the interview in the video interview last week with l'equipe "en aparte" he had a cold, it was also obvious to me.
do you think he can have some health probelms? today he had again a terrible cold and looked very unhealthy. I am very concerned about his fitness/health at the moment.

Re: 2009 Clay season
Seems as if I am the great Gilles-jinxer. That's the third time I saw him live, and it gets from bad to worse.

Maybe he keeps spotting you in the crowd and loses concentration on his game

That is highly unlikely. And if so, I would love to extend theses "skills" to Nadal.

I really sympathized with you today! Gaël's match alone was already shocking, but the combo Gaël-Gilles in a row took it to a new dimension. It was unreal.
I hadn't seen they have his interview in English on the tournament website:

Re: 2009 Clay season
Tulasne's take on the match:
http://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/breves2...ch-pourri.html
Even playing average tennis he would have won. He hasn't quite got his bearings yet on clay, but it's the same for everybody, he was tense before entering the court. The beginning of the match was decent and then he got himself into a negative spiral. At the end of the match, Gilles was telling him that he didn't know how to play tennis anymore. A sore throat problem has also disrupted his preparation. They now have 2 weeks of intensive training ahead.
