I think it's more Tsonga initiated the hug than Nole. Tsonga looks to be  with Nole even after Nole defeated him.

Indeed  I think they're actually quite good friends  I've seen them chatting and laughing together at Hotels and tounaments along the way, and I guess because Tsonga has a winning record against him, Nole certainly has great respect for his game, and it seems to be mutual. There's a lot of good eye-contact and positivity in that photo I think, and very genuine smiles.

yep you're right they're good friends, I've also seen videos of them laughing and teasing each other about their favourite football teams  ...

After match point, Nole was waiting for hugging time naturally and Jo also knew what he would do. Simply he felt it was his turn to hug Nole as a rule between them.
