Les soucis s'enchaînent dans le camp français en ce moment. Après la déception de Monte-Carlo, c'est au tour de Jo-Wilfried Tsonga de donner de quoi s'inquiéter un peu. Le Français est en effet, comme Gaël Monfils, forfait pour le tournoi de Barcelone la semaine prochaine. Il souffre d'une douleur au genou droit. Richard Gasquet, lui, y sera bien, son épaule droite allant apparemment bien mieux.

Tsonga, qui s'entraîne à Genève, a ressenti une gêne mais pour l'instant il n'y a rien d'alarmant et il devrait donc finalement faire sa rentrée au Masters 1000 de Rome si tout va bien. Vainqueur de deux tournois depuis le début de la saison, à Johannesburg et Marseille, le 11e mondial avait renoncé à disputer le tournoi de Monte-Carlo, dans le souci de préserver son physique. Contacté, son agent Morgan Menahem confirme que pour le moment il n'y a pas de raison de s'inquiéter. «Jo n'ira pas à Barcelone, il a ressenti une petite duoleur au genou droit à l'entraînement et préfère ne pas prendre de risque. Il n'y a rien d'alarmant. Il va passer un week-end tranquille et après on verra. pour le moment il est toujours prévu d'enchaîner Rome, Madrid et Düsseldorf.»
