He has a problem with his knee, Zverev writes in his blog after his defeat that he's waiting for Gaël's answer to know if he can leave IW or if he should stay for the doubles. Gaël will say on Saturday morning at the latest if he pulls out or not.

He can always retire in doubles to protect himself but still play singles. Seriously he can't be injured

Yes, Mischa is only talking of the doubles. Their doubles match is scheduled on Saturday, but Gaël will play on Sunday in singles since Isner-Rochus are playing tonight, so he would have almost two more days for his knee.
And he apparently isn't ruling out yet to play in doubles, so it's probably not that bad.

But well, it still sucks, he probably couldn't practice properly this week.

It's mentioned in L'Equipe too today, he has a knee inflammation, but Rasheed sounds confident, he says it's getting better, so I guess he will play on Sunday.

I don't know if everybody reads in GM, Bobble gave some news, he saw Gaël practicing yesterday and he isn't limping anymore:

He's still in the OOP for today in doubles.

Merci Fran.

Hopefully it's nothing too bad. Isner'll be a tough one But if his knee isn't bothering him too much, he should win this one!Allez!

I hope there's a livestream for his doubles match I've never seen him play before...

They lost, as expected - but I didn't expect a bagel. 7-6 6-0.

That bagel wasn't that unexpected if you think of the real reason right Tess Gaël is a smart boy when it comes to saving his ass

I hope he'll be early tomorrow so we don't have to stay up for hours to watch him !

Zverev says it was closer than the scoreline says, but they were just not good enough. He sounds disappointed, but not mad at Gaël (and he isn't afraid to say it when he means he was good and his doubles partner was bad ). He says he made way too many errors.

3rd match on Stadium 3 tonight.
