Default For French speakers

Why do you say "quinze a", "trente a", "quarante a" - I mean, this "a" instead of "partout", where does it come from?

I don't know how you came up with quarante a... trente a because I never seen numbers followed by the verd "avoir" "a". If you went only by the sound of it maybe you meant quarante ans, trente ans which means 40 years, 30 years. and yes in french you could also say quarante partout which means 40 evrywhere.

hope that helps you, what Bashak said could be right too
