The latest: the doctors have ruled out mono and hep, so now we're back at square one with this virus thing. I guess the question becomes, is this a virus? And if so, how come it has not been identified?

If it's not a virus, then that probably means a whole new battery of tests. (I wonder if they have tested him for Lyme Disease...

I guess they'll be testing him until they find something to explain these symptoms; I just hope an answer is found quickly.

I doubt that Lyme disease would be a factor here because, from what I read, it's practically rare, if it exists at all, in the Southern Hemisphere. The deer tick that causes Lyme disease is cultivated in the Northern Hemisphere.

Sounds like this virus/disease is a big deal...when David was talking about it during BA and Acapulco I though it was just fever. Hope it's nothing serious and David gets well soon!

What is up with this not being able to id the virus thing? If it is a virus, how can they not know by now?
What if it's not a virus and that's why they couldn't pinpoint the cause of his illness? I know David kept saying it is flu, but flu-like symptom can indicate something more sinister...
Man I'm worried about him.

Great news that Argentina won their opening-round DC tie; however, no news about David. This could be looked at a couple of ways: one, there is nothing new to report and two, let's keep the focus on the tie. Hopefully, there is something soon..at least so that his mind and the mind of others involved with him can be put at ease.

According to Clarin David will announce today if he'll play IW. They say Luis Lobo could be his new coach but nothing is sure.

Also, according to news reports, David and JMDP will return to play against the Czech Republic in the quarters. I wonder how on earth this could be predicted this far in advance, and we don't know if he's playing the next two tournaments. Furthermore, no one knows his current state of health. Does anyone here believe that Vasquez and co. don't have their heads screwed on straight?
