Brydan Klein wins first challenger title in Burnie
Australian 19 year old Brydan Klein has won his first challenger title this week in Burnie beating Grega Zemlja in the final 6-3 6-3. Even more impressive he didn't drop a set the whole tournament and only played one tiebreaker. Sure the field wasn't that great but Brydan is now going to be ranked inside the top 200 come Monday.
Good work Brydan keep chipping away, I think he has top 100 potential for sure.

Re: Brydan Klein wins first challenger title in Burnie
Klein is probably one of the Aussies that might actually get somewhere. He's got a long way to go, but he's still young and hopefully we can expect to see good things from him. And he's a nice guy too, so lets hope he does well

Brydan. Impressive tournament from him. Hopefully he can defend his points from last year at the upcoming tournaments and establish himself as a permanent top 200 player.

Well I hope he can win the tournament in Mildura as he is the defending champion. Therotically he should be able to make at least semis in the Melbourne challenger.
After that he should head to Thailand with the Davis Cup team and play challengers in Japan and Thailand the following weeks after, that would be my guess as to his schedule of play. If he does well in those challengers he'll easily finish the year inside the top 200.

Re: Brydan Klein wins first challenger title in Burnie
I was there all week apart from the final, as for Klein he isn't bad. I was more impressed with some other players there.

Come on man thats a bit harsh, yes it was a weak challenger but he did win a Grand Slam match two weeks ago. How many Europeans ranked between 100-250 can say that they have won a Grand Slam match this year. But you are right he is going to have to get a lot better to win a challenger tournament in Europe. I guess if and when he does you will then consider him worthy?
