Re: Normality returns on Saturday
Lay Cilic 2-0 @ 2.00 (5/10)
Troicki seems to be in-form this week while Cilic has been scraping his way past some mugs unconvincingly, these are good odds for Troicki just to win one set at least.

Re: Normality returns on Saturday
Cilic v Troicki over 21.5
For starters both are big servers and will be tough to break. Secondly, I've noticed that Marin very rarely wins easily indoors. He has played 12 matches on indoor hard since the start of 08 and and nine of them have had a set with at least 12 games. Of VT's 16 completed matches on the surface, 8 contained a 12+ game set. I'd expect Marin's mental toughness to give him the edge here when it matters but this one should be tight and a bit of value even though I missed the best price.
2.5u 1.73
(over 22.5 is widely available at 1.83 as well)

No clue about the ladies. Gonzo will surely make the final but I don't have a price yet.
Ferrer x Ancic x Tsonga treble @ 1.70

Loss
Unreal from Ferrer but when you have to back a-holes like him you know you take a risk. Well done to the winners.

Could have avoided him. I normally avoid him and almost everybody else from the ones who were upset this week ( Korolev, Andreev, Gulbis, Youzhny etc, we've seen how "reliable" these are; add the Ferrer of last year or so to the list ) I normally don't touch these with a 10-foot pole when they're at these odds. Dunno what came up to me this week and started backing them, guess lapse of concentration if anything else and lack of alternatives. I usually back reliable favs and there weren't many realiable this week.
I wouldn't mind if I lost with somebody like Tsonga or Ancic but not with those ones. Then I somehow thought that Ferrer was up for this but apparently when you're a c*nt once, you're gonna be a c*nt again.
Never mind.

Re: Normality returns on Saturday
I think it's better not to bet on anything until Dubai at least, if not the Masters events.

Re: Normality returns on Saturday
upsets aren't bad for gamblers. you just have to know where to find them. some people here seem to be having very good weeks.

Ivan, sorry, if bacsinszky is indoor player then i'm Santa Claus. She played 2 good indoor tournaments: Zurich 2007 and Atntwerpen 2008. First one is the one nobody really cared about (it was a t. just before the final one), the last one is when she was q-fier and then she played pretty good tennis.
However other from those 2 weeks she sucked badly indoors.
I believe that Swiss coach is crazy to choose her for the 2nd rubber.
Without any match practice at all.
