Zagreb 09 - R2 - A.Veic def E.Korolev 3-6 7-6 6-4
Evgeny won the first set, however then went 3-0 down in the second set only to fight back and take it into a tie break, he then lead 5-2 in the tie break however then lost the next 5 points to lose the second set breaker by 7 points to 5, veic then escaped a marathon game on his serve at 1-2 in the third before breaking immediatley after and then went on to win the match from a set down saving three break points when serving for the match. Dissapointed for Evgeny, this was a great chance to get more renking points and make his first quarter final of the year.

I guess Korolev will really never amount to anything. Useless waste of talent.

No words, Korolev
He has a game for regular Top50 but such results don't bring him any closer to that.

No! Evgeny really pisses me off sometimes. I wanted a quarterfinal with Cilic.

Re: Zagreb 09 - R2 - A.Veic def E.Korolev 3-6 7-6 6-4
I thought Veic was supposed to be complete shit and only reached the second round because he was "given" the match by Canas?
Although this does not remove all doubt about Canas clearly Veic is not a complete no-hoper at the moment.

Re: Zagreb 09 - R2 - A.Veic def E.Korolev 3-6 7-6 6-4
bravo veic,it seems he can beat top 100 player without give him to win(korolev was in top100),he is good enough.on 5:4 in 3. he came back after 0:40 and go to 1st 4-final of his career!!! bravo!!!bravo! !!he will play with cilic.both of them are croats, and both of them were born in 1988.
i had some good filling for that guy in past year.it seems it's true.so i think he will be in top 100(maybe more) in future.
ps.they talk he is a big fighter,it seems soo.

Yh same here, was looking forward to that one, the guy has so much talent and yet puts in results like this, should have won in 2 to be honest, and at the very least should have broken for 5-5 in the third, somebody said he was having injury timeouts, if that was the case it is a slight conselation.

Re: Zagreb 09 - R2 - A.Veic def E.Korolev 3-6 7-6 6-4
I'm guessing. There were long pauses after some of the games and some betting site reported the trainer was out but didn't say for who.
A few of the Croats on the forum were at this one so we'll find out for sure later. Malisha promised to kick Korolev in the balls if he lost and I sincerely hope he carried it out.

there were no irregular betting patterns in this one from what I saw.

Ok after the match I was just pissed, now i'm worried... i hope he didn't actually used injury time out, i don't wanna hear the hernia problem is back ! I just don't !
I'd rather think he just completely screwed up that match !!!
