Oh man, Dubai is going to be soooo weird this year with Andy as defending champion.  Roger's out, Rafa will likely pull out. I don't know how the others will react when Ram gets the Peer business next week. Maybe Djoker and Murray will find some injury excuse to pull from their bag of tricks in order to avoid playing Dubai....and then what? The full force of the media's glare will be right on Andy's shoulders.  Will Andy still play? He better go deep at Memphis, heck win the title and make sure to call for a trainer in the second set! Pull an injured "Ow my leg hurts" face, maybe limp around the court a bit, grimacing in pain, then he can excuse himself from participating in Dubai the following week.

Got Married!
I know it has been awhile since I last posted an update, so here goes. It has been a crazy last month. Australia went well this year. Andy played really well and had some nice wins along the way. Federer just played a great match against Andy in the semi-finals. We are now in Memphis and after a couple of days of practice here we are ready to get on with the business of the tournament. 
As I mentioned it has been a crazy month. A week after I got back from Australia I had a big party for a weekend in Cincinnati that was my wedding. A lot of family, friends, and fun. My wife and I then spent a week in Mexico on our Honeymoon. No tennis, nothing to do but relax and have a good time. I did not go to San Jose with Andy. It was a little weird since it was the first time in 4 years that I was not as a tournament with Andy.  But now we are here ready to go in Memphis and 1st round of Davis Cup is just a couple of weekends away. Hope everyone is well. |

Oh dear Andy forgot to do laundry again. A solid win which is good. BTW Rafa just pulled out of Dubai, the line up isn't bad but as Tangy mentioned I wonder if Andy will be next? MTF are predicting a Murray win, I set them straight!

His reason according to someone in the tourney forum with playerzone access is "other" - we know he's not hurt (thank god). maybe he realized he's played a lot and going over there for one week is stupid? unfortunately his ranking is gonna take a hit unless he wins memphis and even then it still might. but the decision should be good for his season in the long-run.
