Yeah I agree Yavor. He's honest. You won't get him bullshitting about this, that and the other. He recognises he threw the match away and he's not making any excuses for it either. Onwards and upwards to clay. Let's hope the clay court season brings better times

why u so strict? we don't know what's passing in our fave tennis player mind, even if we think the opposite. We can just suppose but hardly the truth in this world goes out
He's young and has a "no period", and for people like him who needs to be always focused about the match is much worse...but, of course can happen

we have to support and hope (said a long time Paul Henri Mathieu fan )

Some of your comments were unacceptable and I agree with the person who bad repped you. You might want to watch your tongue next time. A lot of people here like Jo too, but even if they didn't, this kind of comment about another player are not to be tolerated.

True, this is why i like him also, he is honest and in fact, his analyzes of his matches are better than the one from the journalists!

Now clay season, in somehow I am more excited to see him on that surface that on hard. Only 2 weeks to wait

The person who bad repped you was right Gambit. What kind of an idiot are you? To say that you weren't being racist by calling someone a ... I'm not even going to repeat the word ... which is one of the most insulting terms you can use (as well as one of the most racist) and then you go and requote the post just to hammer home the point and allow people who haven't seen it before see it. My finger is hovering very closely to the bad-rep button and I've a good mind to report you for racism

I agree with the person who bad repped you too. I believe you when you say you didn't mean it that way, but I gave you a smash when I read it too so apparently more people interpreted it as a racist remark . These are written conversations, we cant see if people are serious or not.

And some of your other comments were also a bit on the edge, indeed.

he didn't threw the match away, if you think this, you can also say he won the first set because Tsonga gifted him the set with two double faults at 5-4 in the TB. that's also to threw a set away. He played a horrible game (2 ue's and a net) in the middle of second set and he was broken. it was when he lost control of match and again didn't convert the BP's he had since that broken game, Tsonga was serving at 85% and it's difficult to rally with a big server and a great net player like Jo. Credit to Tsonga, Gilles didn't play enough to make it even close in the decider and it was a sad end to a great week where he has been the old Gilles we knew of the second half of 2008.
clay? his schedule says it all, in a packed clay season, he is only going to play the MS events (somehow like Federer), Montecarlo, Roma and Madrid (no small titles like Casablanca for a great player like Gilles), the goal is to arrive fresh at Roland Garros. what happened last year to best friend Monfils must be an ispiration. the clay season is very tricky, there are plenty of specialists waiting for this part of the year and trying to gain as much ranking points at possible. If he is in the good half of the draw, I think he can faire peter dans un grand chelem at Roland Garros.
