Re: All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins
Rafa will be 21st player on the list tomorrow and,if I'm not wrong, only 5th with 100 Grand Slam victories before 24th birthday (Borg,Wilander,Becker,Edberg)

Re: All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins
More significantly, if Roger makes the semis, he will become the first player to reach 200 wins in his 20's. Lendl was the second fastest, reaching 200 at the 1991 US Open, at the age of 31 7 months.
If he averages a SF/slam over his next 7 slams, and 1 win, or 2 finals, Roger has an outside chance of owning the record outright by September 2011, just after his 30th birthday. The earliest he can acheive it is in Wimbledon of next year.

Re: All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins
I was wrong about Edberg.... Borg,Becker,Wilander and now Rafa are the only players with 100 Grand Slam victories at the age of 23

Re: All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins
Nadal already caught Roddick (age 28) and could tie Courier tonight, who won #118 at age 28. Hewitt should enter the top 10 soon, having won at least 8 matches for 11 years running.

He will surely get there. As for single slams, I'm always astonished by Connors' 98 US open wins, and 182 wins at Wim+USO combined.
Federer could get the records for most Aus Open wins and French Open wins, both standing at 56 and held by Edberg resp. Vilas if I'm not mistaken. Needs another 2 resp. 13 to tie them.

Re: All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins
Federer just 5 behind Lendl and Agassi for the most at all 4 slams. Also, just 20 shy of Connors.
Needs another good year to be top 5 in all 4 slams, which has never been done.
Edit, tied with Lendl for 7 consecutive years with at least 20 GS wins.

Well, his first shot at the FO record is next year, but he's only got 49 at present. A SF will put him at 2nd all time.
