I'm making up for not being very vocal last year I made myself stay away from here to concentrate on uni work. And while that's a nice goal, my god it was boring
Are you joining the Berdych Army on friday at the AO?
ohh i doubt i will join them in terms of getting decorated, but i might reply to one of their facebook messages to see if me and my sister can sit with them haha
either way, i'll be there supporting tomas if he wins today
this place is my "doing uni work but bored and don't want to" place to go
One of the biggest chokes in tennis history. 2 sets to love and now over, without so much as a fight. Unbelievably pathetic, words can't even describe it.
i was there and theres no way he 'choked'
he was playing so well in the first 2 sets no one would have beaten him, and it was impossible to keep playing like that
and you musn't forget it was federer, who really picked up his form, and once he got a sniff, ran with it...
i was happy with how well tomas played and think it shows good signs for the rest of the year
Yeh great signs I reckon, signs that he's a mental case and has zero mental strength.
How about that almighty showing in the 7th game of the 3rd. Up 40-15, some great tennis thereafter. That was really all Roger though, his level rasised so much there was nothing the strong Berdych could do......
Davodus, he did miss some easy balls to go up a break in the 3rd IIRC. I'll stick around nevertheless, he's a pleasure to watch. It should all come together at one point or another.
he did, but it wasn't a huge huge choke...not like he was up a break and served for it before losing
he should have won, i think, but i wouldn't say this is one of the worst chokes in tennis history
i actually thought he was still playing quite well in the 4th set, but got unlucky with the hawkeye situation that got in his head for a bit
What is with people saying Tomas choked? Tomas would have crushed any opposition not named Federer. I hope he breaks the top 10. There are currently too many mediocre players in the top 10.
That's sort of a point. It shouldn't matter if it's Federer or not. He certainly showed the game that crushed even Federer before that. I'm extremely sad for this loss, though needless to say the indignant rage Langers style is ridiculous.
(1) NADAL, Rafael ESP v BOLELLI, Simone ITA
