Roger's lost today is really a win for Roddick. He has to be a bit happy. I know he probably wanted to get some payback for last Sunday but this makes the tournament basically his. Congrats to Hrbaty and Roddick.

Roger lost. In the first round. Blah.  He was obviously tired. Mardy's out too, with injury. No Andy/Roger re-match. No Andy/Mardy re-match Double blah. So was Roger one win away from besting or equaling Sampras' match streak? Bunk, do you know? 
I just hope Andy is well rested and that his back is well. I don't know if Roger's loss will give Andy a shot in the arm for tonight, I guess we'll see.

Well if Andy fires 48 aces in the match tonight(thats winning every game with aces at love) and he has no DF. Has 40 winners and 0 unforced errors, and even comes to net for fun...to win 6-0, 6-negative 3, then we know something is up....haha...

Why Roger was so exhausted?
He took a rest before TMS Toronto for 2 or 3 weeks and I can't find the reason.
Anyway, as Andy fan, I hope Andy is not tired and hope mentally physically healthy. Andy seems to get tough draw I should not expect but I am very glad he can defend this title.

yes tangy, Roger was one win away. He had 23 wins and Pete had 24.
I hope it's a shot in the arm for Andy. He'll need it for Max  As long as his back is ok, Andy should be ok. But who knows  |

Well Roger was one win away from equalling one of Sampras' streak, but Pete had an even longer one (29 matches I think).
