Well, if we use the last year points we'll have problem next year.
Let's use the new points.
The ranking will be hardly moved in the begin but after that, all will roll.

In the beginning everything could be in chaos. New players or those who don't have points to defend will get more points in the beginning. In Tennis Tipping there were ideas to double the last year points ... They sticked to the last year points and won't change anything.
