From twitter today: Come Monday, Australia's No 1 man will be Marinko Matosevic,a guy who has never won a Grand Slam match and was dumped from Davis Cup duties.

Don't know how people get MM as no.1 yet, live-tennis.eu still has Marinko a couple of spots ebhidn Bernie and looking at it myself I get the same thing. It's going to happen though, a Marinko/Bernie matchup in basel would be nice.
Expected loss against del potro obivously.

The 90 points to defend at Brisbane will go at the start of the year because he's playing Hopman cup. While I imagine Marinko will be playing Brisbane with no points to defend. Unless Tomic does something freaky in the next 2 weeks then it will happen. Just not quite yet |

I very respect Marinko, he's a hard worker, but he was already 27 years old, and if he'll be #1 Australia, this is not a good sign for Aussie tennis.
