There will be a minute of silence for Fede tomorrow before the night session.

Potito must be devastated So many pics show the two of them together. My heart goes out to him and all the other people close to him.
Since I heard the terrible news I can't stop thinking about it. No words

Re: Federico Luzzi is dead
OMG shocking...I remember hearing about him for the first time when he made the final of the 1994 european cup. I used to follow closely his results in juniors since he was born the same year than me and watched a couple of his matches. And now he's died. Ouch. RIP.

Such a tragedy Sincere condolences to his family, friends and fans.

He’s such a pure, class act. In other words, he’s humble. Yet he does not need to be.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, it was probably acute leukemia with pneunomia as a complication. The term "fulminant" is sometimes used in medicine to describe an illness taking an aggressive, life-threatening course.

Re: Federico Luzzi is dead
Great words there from his colleagues and this is going to be very tough for Starace especially.

Some of them also left messages on the different facebook groups that got created for him. It's already a big shock for us, so I can't quite imagine what it's like for the players who knew him, and for his family and friends.

Re: Federico Luzzi is dead
i couldn't believe it when i read the news in the paper this morning. it's terrible when a young person dies this way, and doesn't even have the chance to properly say goodbye.

Re: Federico Luzzi is dead

Bracciali, Volandri, Dell'Acqua, Galimberti, Biasella and Starace with Fede's coffin. Many other players were at his funeral.
Good bye, Fede
