David will have to serve for it. It was good response from Becker, nevertheless.

So that was a solid performance, definitely better than yesterday, with no standout weaknesses in his game. As Jason Goodall likes to say, he was doing the basics well.

Now he's into the semi-finals, and finally we don't have to put up with bwin anymore, I hope!

With this semi-final result, David has now filled up much of his best 5 optionals points:
  • Stockholm winner (225 points)
  • Acapulco finalist (175 points)
  • Buenos Aires winner (175 points)
  • Basel semi-finalist (110 points) (or more)
  • Queen's Club semi-finalist (100 points)

Well done.
More consistency, less drama than yesterday. And better movement.

Wish I could've watched that match...I'll get a better chance tomorrow with the SF though
Good win for David, I really want him to beat Del Potro tomorrow, although from what I've seen from Del Potro's match, he's playing really good...we'll see tomorrow anyways

So far David has played two good return games, broke serve once, but was very sloppy on his own service game making numerous errors. He's definitely going for his shots though.

Well he played pretty well in the first game of the match, but it was the one poor service game.

Del Potro isn't dealing with the deep balls very well. David hasn't needed to hit as many shots to win the points compared to Madrid. I hope he keeps up this sort of serving, that he showed in the last two games.
