Re: David enters the land of Lindt. Can he tune his game to Swiss precision in Basel?
1 set all. 2 BP chances to get back in the set blown. Plus a warning for racquet abuse. Not looking good. He practically lost every FH CC exchange.

I don't like his movement at the moment. It looks really lazy. One of those matches where it just looks like he's casually strolling around then finds himself needing to stretch to stick his racquet out at the end.

His groundstrokes look solid to me when he doesn't have to move, so that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Yes, but he's often enough not getting to the ball in time.

This was a scary hold, with 2 BP saved. First passing shot he hit with FH. Luckily Kristof hit right into him from the net.

Re: David enters the land of Lindt. Can he tune his game to Swiss precision in Basel?
Geez that forehand down-the-line on break point was close.
If it wasn't for the last few weeks, I wouldn't have known that David was still capable of moving reasonably well, but it seems he just isn't interested enough to play with the necessary intensity (I felt the same way about the Montanes match). Which is rather annoying because he's not just a little bit sluggish, but very sluggish.

Vliegen is looking quite pumped up. He is going after David's 2nd serve and he managed to win few return winners.

Perhaps because you're outside Europe. They've now switched over to showing the Eurosport stream.

Yeah, I found it on here a while ago

Same one I was using to watch on Tuesday. It's a lot better than bwin anyway.

Nice hold, 3 service winners, an ace and a DF.
