Hooray for Swedish TV and their excellent stream!
Just hope that David isn't too angry because of the ITF's decision. But if he is, he can take it out on Montanes...
Another win 6-4 6-1 in a little bit over 1 hour mark. Albert made a decent fight in the first set, he even had 1 BP chance. In the second set after opening game David took 6 games in a row. He had 6 aces serving at 67% first serve, well placed serves, good kicker on second which made Montanes go further back behind baseline to retrieve it, excellent angles from BH wing, somewhere around par FH and quite bad running FH (because of his slower footwork thou). Nieminen next.
The stream I was watching was poor so it was hard to see what was going on (and hard to enjoy it unfortunately). I spent more time trying to see where the ball was going than watching it.
Anyway it looked like David was accurate and consistent with his groundstrokes and his net play/approaches were very good. His backhand was especially good, forehand a bit inconsistent mainly in the first few games of the match but mostly good.
Nieminen was really inconsistent though. Hit some very nice returns and counterpunching winners, but also made quite a few errors.
I was forced to watch a first set on bwin cause the IF stream did not worked for me. Luckily it started to work in the second set so I was able to watch the match on high quality stream. Like in Miami David took an initiative but unlike then today he did not miss almost any balls. Great performance, although Jarkko made few UE's too to seal his fate. Bad thing is that David had 3 DF's on his serve and he gave 7 BP opportunities to the Finn (he saved 6 of them).
