Here's an interview of Marcos in l'Est Républicain ("For me, 2008 doesn't exist"). I don't know if you guys speak French, I guess there's nothing really new for his fans anyway. He says it's been such an horrible year with all the injuries and he also had some bad luck, like at the AO against Hewitt, when he lost to Lopez in Wimbledon after having 3 MP, the disappointment to miss the Olympic Games because of his wrist...
He was feeling pain in the underarm in Orléans, but the doc told him it was just some weakness since he hasn't played for so long. Now he's ready and doesn't feel any pain anymore.
He feels a bit under pressure for the rest of 2008 because if he doesn't play well, he can be ranked #100 at the end of the year. But he has already managed to come back in the past and he can do it again. It's just a matter of time and desire - one has to accept to start from the scratch again...
Quote:

On verra bien.

Oh guys, I can't believe Marco's bad luck.

I asked on the FFT website if they have more informations about his exact injury, but they just know he was immediately taken to the hospital.
They say he fell to the ground in pain after a serve. He couldn't move and had to be taken off court on stretcher.

I posted a pick of the accident in GM, here it is:

Edit: It's not that bad, apparently, he can walk again.

Here's the article in the local newspaper "Le Républicain Lorrain", he means he was really scared because it was the first time it happened to him and he couldn't move, everybody was in shock, he was lying on the ground screaming in pain "My back! My back!" But the doctor told him his back just went into a spasm and it's not a slipped disc. One hour after having been taken off court on stretcher he came back to give an interview and reassure everybody.
Quote:
«On verra...

There are news in Le Républicain Lorrain today:
Quote:
Baghdatis va mieux
Ressuscité le Chypriote ? Presque.
Yesterday he was walking around normally. The MRI showed a herniated disc, but no complications. He's in good spirits again. He will stay 2-3 more days for treatement and the doctors recommend to take 3 weeks off. So he hopes he'll be able to play in Bercy.

A mini-interview today in video:

He's feeling better and the doctors mean his recovery is "incredibly fast".
