Mathieu Rodrigues FRA vs Patrik Rosenholm SWE 3-6 6-4 6-1
The match between Kontinen and Eleskovic was the match with the biggest interest for everyone today in Gothenburg. Eleskovic won in straight sets, guite easily i must say, he seemed to have a good control on the match all the way through. Kontinen really tried to find some variations in his game to take out Ervin, but Ervin showed that he got some insperience that Kontinen clearly doesn´t have. This was a good game of Kontinen he tried his best but Eleskovic was the bigger number. I´m sure Kontinen will improve and raise in the rankings in the near future. He looks like a star, and me and my friends are sure we were watching at a coming star today.
The match between the first seed Mathieu Rodrigues against Patrik Rosenholm was another match of big interest. I saw the match with his father and a friend of mine. Patrik played really well in the first set, hardhitting forehand winners and variation of the backhand. One funny thing was that Rodrigues didn´t like that we sheerd for Rosenholm, he looked at us and clapped his hands ironicly after he won a point. Rodrigues came back in second, a lot of first serves went in, and some unforced errors from Rosenholm. Rodrigues won easily the third set.
Maybe Rosenholm is about to train with Tomas Johansson on thursday-friday. To train with an Australian Open winner isn´t that bad.
