I've just seen the second set. Poor Gaêl

Not even a chance for him.

Now, I absolutely want Jo to give a correction to Djoko. Not that I feel anything against him, but just to clearly establish himself for the end of the season.

happy about jo back in form

good luck in the finale, sure he can do it but like he said on post match interview he has to move better than that if he wants to win that finale.
On the atp web site they say that if jo wins that finale he will 35 point in the race.Blake who is 8th is at 86 points from him;

he perhaps has a chance to get place for the TMC BUT lets wait and see what he'll do tomorrow
GO JO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm quite impressed by Jo, I didn't think he could come back at such a level so fast. I really hope he will be able to beat the djoker tomorrow.

I didn't see his match against Gael, was Gael sick or something ? or did he play particularly bad ?

I watched a little bit. He was moving so well, his knee is definitely doing just fine. The forehand was great as well, he gave Monfils very few chances.

Good luck to Jo.. .. he did so well yesterday .

He'll be up against my favorite player today, so I won't be rooting for him (just for today) but I'll be so happy nonetheless if he wins.

I don't know why they picked just that comment everywhere because I can't believe it was his main point in his post-match interview. He rather stresses he was on fire, and it was obvious by watching the match.

Here’s what he says in L'Equipe about these shape issues:
Quote:
He says that physically he isn’t at his best like in Autralia, he’s a bit out of breathe after a long rallye. But the rallies are shorter here than in Melbourne. Djoko loves to impose his better condition and high pace in long rallies, but the conditions in Bangkok might favour Jo.
And Wino doesn’t completely agree the difference HC/indoors will be deciding, he says the key rather is the way Jo will approach the match. That was the problem in Melbourne. Everything was looking so good after having won the 1st set that Jo kind of started playing for time. One can’t afford to do that against the best players in the world. As soon as they see a flaw in the opponent's game, they will use it. That's why matches like the one in Melbourne are so important and really help to improve.

Default Re: Fall Season Thread 2008

And here’s the whole article, I can’t translate it, but he clearly says he was hitting the ball as well as in Australia:
Quote:

» VINCENT COGNET

Congrats Joe for this victory.

I'm really impressed by this successful come back. I just hope no other injury will ruin his season.
