Today Kei's official site has opened!
http://keinishikori.com/

It's still only the top page, but the contents will be coming soon, first in Japanese and then the English version.
The site is run by WOWOW, a satellite broadcaster that airs the four grand slams.

I look forward to reading his blog too! Andy Murray often writes in reasonable detail about his trainig sessions and his blog makes for great reads. Wonder if Kei would be interested/tempted to do the same, so that we gain more insight into his career development.

Could anyone please translate what the handwriting says when the homepage first comes up? It goes so fast, I read something about him being happy etc (Oh well who wouldn't be when one's official site is launched. ) Thanks in advance!!!

OK, I'll try a rough translation:
"Please enjoy my first official site.
And I look forward to chatting with you."

By chatting, I don't think there will be a chat room where we can actually chat with him online, but maybe there will be a message board or something where Kei and fans can interact in some way.

Maybe we can suggest Kei to start up a TWITTER account just like what Andy Murray.

Kei is one of the five candidates for the ATP Newcomers of the Award alongside Chardy, Granollers, Petzschner and Schwank.
I think he has a strong chance to win the award, which will be announced during Miami, on March 25.
Good luck, Kei!

According to the Japanese media, Kei saw an elbow specialist doctor in New York after losing in Indian Wells. At the doctor's recommendation, he decided to take at least six weeks off to focus on rest and rehabilitation, the IMG said on Monday.
Also, Kei and his parents will receive instruction from a nutrition specialist to improve his daily diet.
His father told the media that he still has many years ahead of him so it's OK to restart in a better way.
Kei is now targeting French Open for his return.

Kei's name is on the alternate lists for Belgrade, Estoril and Munich that start on May 3/4.
I don't think he will play that week unless he feels his elbow is 100%, but if he is to play Belgrade is the most likely option because he's #1 on the alternate list.
It would be nice if he can play a tournament or two before RG. Hope he will feel fine by then!

He is ranked #95 this week. The cutoff date for RG is April 12, and he will lose no more points until April 27 when the points from the Bermuda challenger drop off the computer. As long as he stays within top 104 he can enter RG directly, so let's hope no more than nine players overtake Kei in the ranking in the next few weeks!

I was wondering why his name doesn't appear in the Miami draw and here I got the answer.
Hope he can rest well and have a new start!
Can't wait his official site!
