I've just joined the gym, and I'm struggling to find music to run/work out to. However, I've not yet tried any prog...so I might put some Porcupine Tree on and see how it goes

Anywhere, my friends... here's for genuine romantic, classic fairytale progrock
Went all the way to Dortmund last year to see them perform the fantastic Rockpommel's Land LIVE last year.
I'll never forget that experience, they were magnificent.

Grobschnitt is a genuine German ProgRock LEGEND from the 1970-1980's.
Very much *mocked* back in those days, as they were an obviously very heavily Yes/Genesis-inspired combo (in contrary to what's very often stated, they were/are NOT "Krautrock" like bands as Amon Duül, Eloy, Guru Guru, and the like - nope, just pure classical, symphonic progrock) - and also mocked because of singer Mr. Willy Wildschwein's massive German accent. Pretty lame imho.
The design of Rockpommel's Land's 1970's album sleeve was as much a rip-off of Roger Dean's works as it was a tribute.
There was a good reason for me to travel all the way to Dortmund last year to finally be able to witness a complete live version of the lovely Rockpommel's Land - review over here - .
So funny to see that quite a few of these 'old' guys still being active on stage - and dear old Mr. Wildschwein's voice (in his 60's now!) is still to-die-for - and their sons having joined in with this 'gathering' as well. True hippie spirit.
Love these guys forever and cannot wait to see them again.

Yes, Alan Parsons Project surely belongs to be included in ProgRock, but imho, they've always been just a bit too 'easy', too 'mainstream' to be included with the genuine greats of the genre. I miss the quirckiness, awkwardness of those.
A bit of a "second tier" compared to their contemporaries, to be honest. That said, their early albums Tales of Mistery and Imagination, as well as I Robot are certainly worth a listening - or even two.
That said, Chris Rainbow's lovely mellow vocals on this^^ particular song make it into some kind of a 'guilty pleasure' to me. Might well have to do with me being a hard-core Bridge player, and indeed, "... But the Game never ends, when your whole world depends - on the Turn of A Friendly Card..."
