Re: Bonnie the Cat's, formerly know as Stupid Dream - PROG ROCK thread!
Funny that you can hear this music now for free on youtube, when it took me years of searching for this record and other ones (Popol Vuh, Amon Duul, Faust...) in the 90's, paying a lot of money for them.

Hi Karin, how d'you do?
It's my birthday today and I'm back on this thread.
Wanna show you a Belgian band - Castus - that I've seen live. They call their style post rock (like Godspeed You Black Emperor) but I still fail to see the difference with prog rock.
By the way, I'm surprised to see there has been no mention so far of Tangerine Dream on this thread. Perhaps you consider it too electronic. Here's their most famous Ricochet, live at the Coventry Cathedral:

A band that has managed to transform themselves from this:
"Sunset of Age" - archetypical Northern European - death/doom metal - as fantastic as it is, as I do appreciate death/doom metal, but prog rock, even more.
but just listen to the last two minutes of this (fantastic airy-spacy slide guitar solo by Mr. Danny Cavanagh!), where you should be able to hear that this band is capable of a lot MORE -
in other words, a transition to genuine PROG ROCK.
And that's just what they managed to do, as this vid should convince ye!:
BTW, my review of said concert of Anathema is over here.
"I see you, wherever you go..."
These guys are PINK FLOYD fans, eh?
