its much better to have all the same rackets, so you have continuity. some people like to have 2 slightly different rackets, but i usually advise against this

It is definetly better to have at least 3 racquets for club level players and all the same string tension and racquet. So if u break a string then u have all the same racquets it puts u at a disadvantage to have a favorite racquet if u pop a string then u r at a mental disadvantage

I have two Babolat Aeropro Drives with the same strings, same tension and same overgrips. I try to use both equally to have the exact same feeling and I also re-string them at the same time.

I have had 11 racquets over the years. I sold two, 1 started to crack, and another I lost when I left it on the car roof and drove off - I was not happy that day :-(

Now I have 4 of the same prince MP and they are all strung identically.

I currently own three but only two of them are playable.

1. A Prince Air O Smash (recreational racquet $40), which was my first racquet. I broke the strings and lost some of the grommets so I can't use it anymore.

2. A Prince O3 Hybrid Spectrum (tweener racquet $90), about 9.0 oz and it improved my game and helped my develop my form although I still had some over hitting and control problems. Strung with cheap Prince Synthetic Gut w/ Duraflex.

3. A Prince Original Graphite (player's racquet $120, got it used for $50 and in almost perfect condition), 12.2 oz, just recently got it and am still getting used to it. It has amazing control. It is a "player's racquet" and i'm not even close to intermediate but I can still handle this racquet. Due to the weight double backhands are effortless. Still trying to develop a solid and consistent forehand swing. Volleys are excellent too. Strung with cheap Prince Synthetic Gut w/ Duraflex although i'll put better strings on it later.

3/4 was always enough when i played alot as a junior.....
now that i'm back, 2 will do the job...just need to get 2 new ones!!

i remember a couple of times playing some unreal tennis and breaking a couple of sets of strings and not having a replacement and the match woulf fall apart then cause i'd have to get a lend of another type of racquets
